Key Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana teaching certification with all required endorsements for ELA instruction
• Previous experience in a general education or ELA teaching role preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and a dedication to inclusive education practices
• Passion for planning creative lessons and differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Strong communication skills for engaging both students and colleagues
• Commitment to onsite instruction and collaboration with school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction using standards-based curricula
• Develop lesson plans that encourage student participation and literacy growth
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes
• Collaborate with support staff, administration, and parents to ensure student success
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and progress reports

This position is a full-time, onsite contract role spanning the academic calendar from ASAP through late May 2027, with a typical schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
