Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to design tailored treatment plans that align with their individual needs and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting strategies as necessary to ensure effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices to enhance understanding and encourage proactive engagement in their treatment.

• Regularly monitor client progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust treatment plans in consultation with clients to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, working alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to continuously improve therapeutic strategies and interventions.

• Participate in ongoing training, case consultations, and team meetings to foster professional growth and maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Advocate for client needs, helping to reduce stigma associated with mental health and ensuring that clients access the support they require.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role as an LMFT, you will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals suffering from mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additionally, you will provide support to vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, making a meaningful impact on their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
