Major Accounts Manager

Avantor seeks a Major Accounts Manager to build and maintain customer relationships within an assigned territory, driving sales of products and services through in-person visits, phone, and digital channels. The role combines account management, sales strategy execution, and post-sale customer support to achieve revenue and retention targets.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites within assigned territory to maintain relationships and identify growth opportunities
• Engage customers via phone, email, video conferencing, and chat to close sales and provide post-sale support
• Execute sales strategy, generate forecasts, and meet or exceed sales and margin targets
• Manage territory effectively to maximize customer visits and develop awareness of VWR product portfolio
• Collaborate with internal teams and specialists to develop tailored solutions addressing customer needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years sales experience required
• Dallas-Fort Worth area location preferred
• Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
• Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and multiple buyer types
• Strong negotiation skills for large account pricing and contracts
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 5 days weekly
