Host/Cashier

Under the direction of the Assistant Manager, Host/Cashier greets guests at restaurant, obtains information from guests and ushers guests to seats ensuring a positive guest experience. Greets guests and ensures a positive dining experience, is responsible for a bank, tender checks and collect different forms of payment.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
2. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina.
3. Proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, physical ability to access all areas of the facility, withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items weighting up to 40 lbs without restriction.
4. Must be congenial and have neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
5. Must be reliable and conscientious, possess the ability to interact (in English) with guests, co-workers, and supervisory staff.
6. Adheres to food & beverage policies, procedures, state liquor laws, state food safety handler regulations and all related training material.
7. Greets and serves guests in a timely and courteous manner.
8. Obtains information from guests and ushers guests to seats.
9. Communicates customer requests to assigned server.
10. Knowledgeable of restaurant seating plan including sections, table numbers, and seat numbers.
11. Handles and solves any concerns and questions customers may have or relays guest complaints/compliments to the appropriate Assistant Manager on duty.
12. Collect various forms of payment to process orders
13. Enters guests' checks in computer system, applies monies and makes accurate change and processes credit card payments.
14. Process to go orders over the phone/walk-ins.
15. Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
16. Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience in high volume food service, as well as in cashiering/money handling. Table service restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
• Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
• Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

• Management expectation is that you must be able to work any shift including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
