Quick Facts Location: Minneapolis, MN Start Date: 07/13/2026 Duration: Ongoing Shift: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM), with flexible 12-hour shifts available Hours per Week: 36-40 (based on shifts) Employment Type: Temporary/Locum Required Licenses/Certifications: MN medical license (or IMLC if license not yet granted), Board-certified in Ob/Gyn, BLS Experience: Trauma I or II experience preferred, high-risk OB experience required Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $248.24/hour Weekly Pay Schedule: Via direct deposit Benefits include: Comprehensive medical coverage (W-2) Paid sick time per state and federal law Licensure, certification, travel, and relevant reimbursements Robust referral bonus program 24/7 support team dedicated to your success What You’ll Do Provide high-risk obstetric care during 24/7 hospital coverage Assist with obstetric procedures and urgent OB needs, including cesarean sections Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, available in-house during the day and on call at night Support level II nursery deliveries, averaging 11-12 per day Manage unassigned OB patients and assist with high-risk pregnancies Document care using Epic/Emerge or Obix electronic medical records systems Participate in on-call duties, with shift flexibility (including 12-hour shifts if preferred) Coordinate care with in-house OB and MFM teams for seamless patient management What You Need Required: Active Minnesota medical license or IMLC (if license pending) Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology BLS certification Trauma I or II experience Preferred: Experience with high-risk pregnancies Previous hospitalist or OB hospitalist background About the Assignment This role primarily covers the Maternal-Fetal Medicine service and urgent obstetrical cases at a highly respected Minneapolis hospital. Providers will collaborate closely with in-house specialists, supporting approximately 11-12 deliveries per day within a Level II nursery environment.
