Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to individualize therapy strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to various demographics, including individuals, couples, and families, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the confidentiality and well-being of all clients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care for clients.
• Stay current with emerging trends in mental health research through participation in workshops and continued education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse client population, including those facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and relational issues. BJC Wellness Center aims to bridge the care gap for individuals and families who may otherwise lack access to effective mental health resources, ensuring that every client receives personalized and empathetic support.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Valid and unrestricted licensure as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland.
• Minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of forming rapport with a wide range of clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems to manage client documentation and billing efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment is highly desirable.
• Experience in telehealth environments and familiarity with telecommunication technology.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload availability.
