Work Environment

You will work in a climate-controlled office setting, designed to provide a comfortable and productive atmosphere. Daily responsibilities involve active movement throughout the facility and collaboration with department members and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care for our clients. The role incorporates both remote capabilities and in-person sessions, allowing for flexibility to meet clients where they are most comfortable.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and, when necessary, diagnose patients by utilizing relevant tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to create individualized care plans.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to continuously monitor patient progress and implement strategies that support mental health diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment records, reports, and clinical documentation according to regulatory requirements and departmental protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with patients and their families to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address specific needs and desired outcomes.
• Facilitate coordination of care and serve as a liaison between patients and various treatment providers to enhance support and options for care.
• Provide education and mentorship for students, interns, and new team members to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on individuals and families affected by cancer, a unique population that requires sensitivity, specialized knowledge, and a significant level of emotional support. The LCSW will anticipate the complex psychological needs and potential crises experienced by this demographic and develop tailored interventions to address those challenges.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Maryland.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing mental health therapy in outpatient settings, particularly for patients dealing with chronic illness or oncology cases.
• Evidence of using trauma-informed care approaches.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems for seamless documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a range of benefits including:
