Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for accurately registering patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, and ensuring a positive patient experience at the initial point of contact.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and interview patients and their families to obtain necessary demographic and insurance information.
• Accurately enter patient data into the hospital's electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and obtain necessary pre-authorizations.
• Explain hospital policies, procedures, and patient rights to patients and their families.
• Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances as required.
• *Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures, coordinating with various departments.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year scheduling and registration
• Clinical experience with knowledge in medical procedures, terminology and documentation
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)

The pay range for this position is $14.85 - $22.28. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
