Perform network administration, ensuring reliable and dependent network connectivity for the entire organization including remote locations. Provide day-to-day IT support for all users within the organization as well as maintenance of all IT equipment. Assist with day-to-day oversight of IT vendors (e.g., IT Help Desk, Telecommunications, Copier/Printer, etc.).Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):Assist with the management and maintenance of information technology infrastructure to enable HCRs mission and operation. Support the IT Manager who is accountable for the following:Ensure consistent and reliable network access across our ~11 metro Charlotte locationsOversee domain server maintenance (e.g., create new employees in Active Directory, share network files, manage groups and policies in Windows server, maintain virtual server instances, antivirus updates, windows updates)Create and oversee all IT security policies and educate Habitat staff on IT security-related issuesEnsure the security of data from internal and external attacks or other forms of inappropriate accessImplement and oversee data backup and recovery policies and proceduresProvide secure access to IT resources for remote usersOversee updates and maintenance of software systemsHandle new hardware setup and connections to networkManage local phone system including setup of new users, system troubleshooting, etc.Maintain data cabling, ports, switches and other IT infrastructurePoint of Sale hardware/software troubleshooting and maintenanceMaintain lifecycle replacement of IT resourcesSupport IT Manager in management of IT vendor relationships to optimize performance, cost, and risk, to include but not limited to:WorkSmart - IT help-desk function, supporting approximately 170 employees with IT-related issuesMicrosoft - Oversee email and web account contractsSpectrum Internet serviceTelware OneCloud phone infrastructure, cabling, audiovisualBusiness mobile phone/tablet maintenance on IOS platform, deployments and contract oversightCopier/printer supportInfluence and implement new technology solutionsProvide advisory and subject matter inputWork with vendors and project manage certain aspects of new technology solutionsProvide users with appropriate training, support and advice on IT systems and softwareManage crisis situations which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems with ability to contract with outside vendors when neededTake responsibility for professional development necessary to stay up-to-date on relevant technology advancementsRequired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Education:Strong Customer Service and Communication Skills requiredTraining and Experience with Microsoft products required4+ years of professional IT support experience requiredNetwork+, Security+, A+ Certifications preferredExperience with Hyper V, Office 365, Ubiquiti, SonicWALL preferredExcellent organizational skill and ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of attention to detailMust possess motivation, initiative, self-direction, and personal integrityDemonstrated ability to follow through with tasks and responsibilitiesConsistent and reliable attendanceAdhere to schedules and deadlinesRepresent Habitat in a positive manner to other staff, Homeowners, Community Partners, Volunteers, Habitat Partner Families, and others you come in contact with, ensuring teamwork, engagement and motivation of othersWillingly adhere to Habitats Code of Conduct Policy and any other policies set forth by the organizationValid drivers license with personal vehicle that will be used for periodic business purposes and/or the ability to be insured by Habitats insurance provider as neededInternal Interactions: All StaffExternal Interactions: Multiple IT vendors; Networking with IT professionals in other organizationsLevel of Authority: Requires minimal supervisionPhysical Requirement:Ability to work in an office environment as needed which requires ability to speak, hear, with the visual and manual dexterity to manage papers, reports, and typingMust embody the capacity to maintain the following for several hours at a time: use of personal computer or similar technology, phone, sitting as requiredAbility to communicate in person, over the phone and/or via computerLift, move and set up computers and accessories which includes but is not limited to lifting up to 20lbs unassisted, stooping, kneeling, bending with the visual and manual dexterity to manage cords, connections and other equipmentDrive between locations in Charlotte metro areaEstimated Time Commitment: 40 +/- hours/week, Monday-Friday. Approximate hours 8AM-5PM.
