Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations while providing technical support to physicians and ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, operating ultrasound equipment, capturing and transferring images, maintaining equipment, and assisting with departmental operations. The ideal candidate will have strong sonography experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Associate Degree required.

• Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

• Current AHA BLS Certification.

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and equipment.

• Proficiency with PACS and electronic imaging systems.

• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.

• Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures.

• Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment.

• Capture and transfer images to PACS for physician review.

• Assist physicians and radiologists during procedures when needed.

• Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance concerns.

• Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.

• Schedule examinations and coordinate patient flow.

• Assist with training and orientation of new staff members.

• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with departmental standards.
