Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial intake assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health concerns, strengths, and needs, utilizing standardized tools to inform treatment planning.

• Design and implement tailored, individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and in alignment with client goals, integrating evidence-based practices.
\n
• Engage clients in individual, group, and family therapy sessions, applying therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.

• Monitor and document client progress during therapy sessions meticulously, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to effectively address evolving client needs.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and case managers, to coordinate care and ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.

• Advocate strongly for clients’ rights, working diligently to ensure access to appropriate mental health services and community resources.

• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards of practice as established by state licensing boards and professional organizations, maintaining the trust that clients place in our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals and families facing a wide array of challenges related to mood disorders, anxiety, relationships, and life transitions. The focus of your therapeutic work will be on fostering emotional well-being, enhancing coping strategies, and building resilience in clients as they navigate their personal journeys towards mental health and fulfillment.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Two years of post-licensure experience, particularly in the specialization of mood disorders, preferred.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, especially CBT and DBT.
\n
• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and a collaborative spirit to work effectively alongside psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• A proven track record demonstrating success in delivering positive treatment outcomes for clients undergoing therapy for mood disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with teletherapy platforms and virtual consultation tools, facilitating effective remote therapy sessions.

• Familiarity with community resources and local mental health services in the Westchester area to better support clients in navigating comprehensive care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
