Position Overview The Human Resources Generalist will support HR needs of the direct labor across the Forest Grove location. The incumbent partners with supervisors to ensure a positive employment experience, supports employee relations, and fosters engagement, retention, and morale. This is a full‑time on‑site position in Forest Grove, OR. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Develop strong working relationships with key business partners, primarily operations supervisors, to provide coaching, guidance, and consultation on full‑cycle employment matters. Partner with supervisors of direct labor employees to resolve employee relations or disciplinary matters; conduct investigations and make decisions based on facts. Partner with supervisors to implement engagement programs and practices to focus on employee morale and maximize retention. Analyze trends and metrics with the Site HR Manager and business partners to drive business solutions and track progress. Establish rapport with hiring managers to understand direct labor staffing needs, collaborate with corporate Talent Acquisition, and fill vacancies promptly; manage job requisitions and new‑hire offers through Workday. Reinforce the self‑service nature of this responsibility through training and accountability. Identify employees ready for development; provide tools and guidance for career development. Promote recognition and rewards programs, ensuring full communication and execution. Serve as backup to lead New Hire Orientation for all employees. Advocate for TTM HR Shared Services Model, supporting local training and encouraging use of the ticketing system for tactical HR questions. Ensure compliance with state and federal employment legislation, including FMLA/OFLA and Oregon Paid Leave. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of HR best practices, US and OR employment laws, and implications in HR management. Experience with employee relations and investigations, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition, supporting or leading recruitment. Ability to build and maintain relationships with all employees and supervisors, excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to influence others and drive behavioral change. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communication with all levels of the site. Problem‑solving skills; research and exercise judgment on basic problems. Ability to make decisions on routine employee‑related matters. High level of integrity and respect for confidential and sensitive information. Team‑oriented; ability to collaborate. Required Education and Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience. Professional certification by either HRCI or SHRM preferred. Experience: 3–5 years supporting a full spectrum of HR disciplines, preferably in a high‑growth manufacturing environment; strong preference for supporting direct labor in manufacturing; aerospace and defense industry experience preferred; strong experience in employee relations; experience working in a matrixed environment and partnering with HR Centers of Excellence. Building productive internal/external working relationships. Receiving general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Typically expects a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience or an advanced degree without experience. Benefits begin on the first of the month following hire date. Compensation varies based on location, role, skill set, and experience. TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation as required by local law, with ranges for California specifically based on specific physical locations. Responsibilities include identifying ITAR products, recognizing foreign person visitors, and managing vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
