As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers while supporting smooth operations. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas. Inspect incoming and outgoing vehicles, trailers, and shipments in accordance with site procedures; document irregularities and report concerns to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and emergency services when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: Have at least one year of security-related experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Possess a Guard Card or license preferred. At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Have customer service experience preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
