That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.
As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coverage in Pacific Palisades, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeFri07:00 PM - 11:00 PMHow This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized access, hazards, or policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying designated contacts as required.
- Support security-related operations by completing accurate activity reports, maintaining awareness of site conditions, and following applicable client and Allied Universal procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
