As an Unarmed Security Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, support a welcoming environment, and document activity using computer or tablet tools. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 03:30 PM Sun07:00 AM - 03:30 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for an educational campus. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access to campus areas, observe and report suspicious activity, and assist with visitor direction in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and emergency responders as directed. Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
