Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our construction management team. This role is key in maintaining project schedules, facilitating communication, and managing documentation. Ideal candidates bring construction site experience and proficiency with project management software. You’ll help drive smooth project execution and ensure timely, successful project delivery.
Duties:
- Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules
- Coordinate communication between project teams, subcontractors, clients, and vendors to ensure alignment on project goals and deadlines
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support project planning and execution
- Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly, ensuring adherence to timelines
- Support contract administration by reviewing contracts, change orders, and related documentation
- Track project costs, quantities, and resource allocation
- Facilitate document control processes including submittals, RFIs, and progress reports
- Assist in site visits and to gather data, verify work progress, and address potential issues proactively
- Collaborate with engineers and architects on technical aspects such as designs and schematics
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and construction regulations throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction management or project coordination within the construction industry
- Experience with construction estimating software such as BuilderTrend or equivalent tools
- Proficiency in project scheduling and experience with Microsoft Excel required
- Familiarity of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction site operations
- Strong understanding of contracts, change orders, and construction documentation processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills
- Prior experience working on construction sites is highly desirable
- Effective communication skills for coordinating between teams, clients, and vendors
