Key Responsibilities

Engage directly with clients to collaboratively set and achieve personalized treatment goals, incorporating therapeutic methods that are both client-centered and assessment-driven.

Facilitate prevention-focused therapy sessions to enhance clients’ coping strategies and resilience against mental health challenges.

Develop, implement, and continuously review treatment plans based on client feedback, progress, and evolving needs.

Collaborate with a network of treatment providers, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and community agencies, to ensure comprehensive care.

Maintain accurate session notes and required documentation promptly, adhering to ethical and legal standards of practice.

Attend regular staff meetings and participate in continued professional development opportunities to keep updated with best practices and emerging trends in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus As a Mental Health Counselor at New Beginnings Behavioral Health, you will serve a diverse client population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and various other mental health challenges. The approach is inclusive and takes into consideration clients’ unique backgrounds and experiences, underscoring our commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity.

Qualifications

A valid and unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health counseling or related fields, demonstrating a robust understanding of therapeutic practices.

Familiarity with local and national community mental health resources to effectively connect clients with additional support services.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective treatment planning and client rapport-building.

Demonstrated ability to foster therapeutic relationships with a diverse range of clients.

Strong leadership capabilities, along with a commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

Experience in teletherapy practices and proficient in using virtual communication tools for therapy sessions.

Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Trauma-Informed Care.

History of collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to improve client outcomes.
