If you are a motivated professional looking for a long-term fit where you can grow in a role, and will be valued and empowered, then we invite you to apply to our Litigation Paralegal position in our Birmingham Office.This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.The PositionKey Responsibilities:Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessmentDraft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing with the courtsPrepare records, review and prepare exhibits, analyze medical records, and trial preparationContact outside sources (government agencies, etc.) to obtain public information and review and analyze the sameSearch and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online sources of case informationPrepare summary of pertinent transcriptsAssemble chronologies of pertinent facts and key documentsReview, analyze and organize document productions by opposing parties and co-defendantsDetermine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness reviewConduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnessesManage documents and organize case filesQualifications:A bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a Paralegal Certificate is preferred5+ years litigation paralegal experience in a fast-paced environment; experience in insurance defense and transportation litigation is preferredApplicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and proceduresExperience with preparing records, assembling exhibits, pleadings, summarizing transcripts, medical record analysis, discovery, and trial preparation requiredExperience drafting and responding to standard discovery demands (interrogatories, requests to produce documents, etc.)Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systemsAttention to detail and organizational skills are criticalClear and effective communication skills both orally and in writingMust be able to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands dailyMust be able to work independently and be proactiveWhy Should You Apply?Benefits: Outstanding benefits package, including 401k match and generous PTO planCareer Growth: Ample opportunities for professional development and advancementEmployee Perks: Access to corporate discount plans and other benefits
