Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The role involves assisting in various pharmacy operations, including dispensing medication, inventory management, and shipping. You will work closely with a team of pharmacists and technicians to ensure the accurate and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the dispensing of medication by printing pick tickets, locating corresponding drugs/supplies, and inputting correct quantities, lot numbers, and NDCs into computer software.
• Participate in inventory management tasks including receiving drugs from suppliers, unpacking, sorting, and logging into the computer system.
• Organize and store drugs and supplies on shelves in a systematic manner.
• Assist in the shipping process, ensuring the correct packaging for refrigerated or ambient medications, and restock gel packs and coolers.
• Ensure accuracy in order processing, receiving, picking, and shipping.
• Collaborate with team members to support departmental needs.
• Monitor inventory to prevent expiration or aging, and ensure timely ordering and accurate input of lot numbers and expiration dates.

Essential Skills

• Fulfillment experience in a pharmacy setting
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPHT)
• Experience in retail or mail-order pharmacy
• Strong computer skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
• Experience as a pharmacy technician

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
