Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification in Special Education required
• Completed coursework or credits in Math is essential
• Alternatively, Teacher of the Handicapped with mathematics credits considered
• Prior experience teaching special education students preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learner needs
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of teaching and student care

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging math instruction to students receiving special education services
• Create individualized lesson plans tailored to IEP goals and academic levels
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, support staff, and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by compliance guidelines
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere focused on student growth
• Participate fully in school meetings, trainings, and professional development throughout the academic year
• Work proactively to address challenges and provide positive behavior supports

This contract position begins September 1, 2026, and runs through June 24, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour work week. You'll have the opportunity to develop trusted relationships with students, families, and staff, playing an essential role in helping learners reach their fullest potential.
