Overview Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at UCSF. Seek an academic facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon with microvascular training to join a renowned FPRS practice. The focus includes microvascular head and neck reconstruction, treatment of facial paralysis, Mohs reconstruction, cosmetic facial surgery/rhinoplasty, and gender-affirming facial surgery. The selected candidate will join two experienced surgeons in a busy academic practice. Extensive experience and/or training with cancer is required. Teaching excellence is expected, as the candidate will instruct fellows and residents at all levels. The Division participates in oncologic care through the Helen Diller Family NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and the UCSF Bakar Cancer Hospital at Mission Bay. Research collaboration is encouraged, with potential support for basic science or clinical research in this role. Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with microvascular expertise. Manage a busy academic practice in collaboration with two senior surgeons. Instruct fellows and residents at all levels. Engage in oncologic care as part of a multidisciplinary team. Contribute to research collaborations, with opportunities to pursue basic science or clinical projects. Qualifications MD or equivalent degree. Completion of an accredited Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency. Completion of Fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery by start date. Board Certified or Board Eligible in the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. California Medical License by start date. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan with eligibility for additional compensation.
