Role Description The District Sales Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Asheville area, with a mix of in-office, field, and work-from-home responsibilities. This role oversees a district sales team, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and coaching sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales targets. Day-to-day activities include developing and executing local sales strategies, building and maintaining relationships with business owners and HR leaders, and conducting presentations on Aflac’s insurance solutions. The District Sales Manager monitors performance metrics, provides regular feedback, and ensures compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The role also involves collaborating with regional leadership, participating in community and networking events, and maintaining accurate sales forecasts and reports. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in sales leadership, including managing, mentoring, and developing sales teams. Strong skills in business development, relationship management, and customer engagement within a B2B environment. Proficiency in strategic planning, territory management, and setting and tracking sales goals. Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Comfort using CRM systems, productivity software, and digital tools to track activities and analyze performance. Proven ability to work in a hybrid setting, balancing field visits, office collaboration, and remote work. Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or employee benefits sales is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
