The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our scientific teams have the necessary supplies and equipment to drive groundbreaking research.ResponsibilitiesAssist the procurement team with the day-to-day purchasing of laboratory consumables, reagents, and equipment.Create, process, and track purchase orders from requisition to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Liaise with internal stakeholders, including scientists and laboratory managers, to understand their procurement needs and specifications.Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm order details, and resolve any shipment or invoicing issues.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities, including supplier information, pricing, and order history.Monitor stock levels of key supplies and assist in inventory management.Support the negotiation of terms with new and existing suppliers to secure advantageous conditions.Assist in preparing reports on procurement metrics, such as spending and supplier performance.QualificationsProven experience in a procurement, purchasing, or a similar administrative role.Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and external partners.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) or Google Workspace.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.A proactive and problem-solving mindset.Experience within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or a related scientific industry is highly desirable but not essential.Familiarity with procurement software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems would be an advantage.BenefitsA competitive hourly wage of $25 - $30 USD.The flexibility of a fully remote position.Both full-time and part-time opportunities to suit your lifestyle.The chance to be part of a pioneering company that is transforming drug discovery.A collaborative and forward-thinking work environment where your contribution is valued.
