Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Travel)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/PCU setting, monitoring and managing patients requiring intermediate-level care
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Continuously monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in the electronic health record
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in North Carolina or a compact state license that permits practice in NC
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, Stepdown, or IMC setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to work night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Ability to commit to a 13-week contract with a projected start date in late September 2026

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or regional referral center environment
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and telemetry in a stepdown or intermediate care unit
• Previous travel nursing experience
