Advanced Practice Nurse in Outpatient Cardiology

Position Overview

Ensured Care Medical Center is actively seeking a passionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated team at the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC) in Fort Worth, Texas. This full-time position will be primarily focused on delivering exceptional outpatient care within our cardiology department, reporting directly to the Chief Nurse Practitioner and collaborating closely with the Medical Director.

Work Environment

This role is situated in an outpatient office, allowing for a focused and supportive treatment setting without the demands of night shifts or weekend work. The NP will be part of a collaborative team that includes cardiologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and administrative staff, all dedicated to improving patient outcomes through coordinated care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
• Manage and monitor patients diagnosed with chronic conditions such as Hypertension and High Cholesterol.
• Provide specialized outpatient Electrophysiology services to manage arrhythmias and other cardiac irregularities.
• Coordinate care for patients with acute conditions including Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Transient Ischemic Attacks.
• Administer Stress Testing as necessary; interpret results in collaboration with cardiologists.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to prescribe medications and implement treatment plans.
• Facilitate consultations with on-site cardiologists and refer patients to appropriate specialists when needed.
• Deliver education and counseling to patients and their families on lifestyle modifications and disease management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will provide care primarily for individuals seeking outpatient cardiology services. Our patient population includes adult men and women dealing with a variety of heart-related conditions, many of whom may also have concurrent comorbidities requiring a holistic approach to their healthcare needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a focus relevant to cardiology.
• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Current NP certification and active state licensure to practice in Texas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical protocols related to cardiology.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience in cardiology, either in inpatient or outpatient settings, is highly desirable.
• Experience with cardiology-specific systems or software will be an asset.
• For newer graduates, a passion for cardiology and eagerness to learn is invaluable.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive compensation package ranging between $180,000 and $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, our benefits include:
