Intake Specialist
Our client is seeking an experienced Intake Specialist to support the client and matter intake process for a busy legal environment. This role is responsible for conducting conflict checks, preparing engagement documentation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring new matters are opened efficiently and compliantly.
Responsibilities
- Review and process new client and matter intake requests
- Conduct conflict checks and prepare conflict reports
- Draft and track engagement letters through execution
- Maintain accurate client and matter records
- Coordinate with attorneys and staff on intake requirements
- Manage intake deadlines and prioritize urgent requests
- Assist with conflict waivers, consent letters, and related documentation
- Support process improvements and workflow efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
- 2+ years of legal intake, conflicts, legal administration, or related experience
- Knowledge of client/matter intake and conflict resolution procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with legal practice management or document management systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
