Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team and take charge of all bookkeeping and accounting tasks that do not require a CPA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling investments, managing budgets, and working with fixed government contracts. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and investment accounts Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses Assist with the preparation and management of budgets, with a focus on fixed government contracts Monitor and maintain accurate records of financial transactions Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve financial operations Provide support during audits and financial reviews Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) 3+ years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong understanding of financial concepts, such as accrual accounting, depreciation, and amortization Experience with handling investments and managing budgets Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team How to Apply If you are a motivated, detail‑oriented professional with a passion for accounting and a desire to make a difference in the world of local government, we want to hear from you!
