Insurance Defense Litigation Associate (3+ Years) Job Location : Rutland, VT Practice Area : Ski Industry Focus The Opportunity We are seeking confident and ambitious associate attorneys with 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience and who is passionate about the Ski Industry. The ideal candidate will bring a genuine interest for the ski industry and an eagerness to embrace a lifestyle change centered on living and working in Vermont. We represent leading international and domestic insurance companies across various lines of business and serve clients throughout the insurance industry, including primary insurers, reinsurers, self-insurers, insurance syndicates, third-party administrators, managing general agents, insurance brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies. Our diverse experience includes serving as regional defense counsel for leading domestic insurance carriers in insurance defense and bad faith litigation, conducting risk reviews of new programs for the London Market, and performing due diligence for loan transactions involving businesses within the insurance industry. Candidates must have a law degree from an accredited law school to be considered for this position. Our associate attorneys within this practice are highly valued contributors, responsible for day-to-day case management, reporting to clients, handling written discovery, attending depositions, court appearances, trial preparation and trials. Strong analytical, organizational, research and writing skills, as well as a genuine interest in developing sophisticated experience and skills in civil defense litigation contexts, are crucial. Associate attorneys will work closely with the firm’s civil litigation partners and therefore, successful candidates must be well-versed in all aspects of their state’s applicable practice rules and procedures.
