Job Title Director of Operations, Employee Benefits Department Employee Benefits | Student Insurance | Travel Company Overview Venbrook Insurance Services is the retail and benefits brokerage of Venbrook Group, LLC, a holding company engaged in retail broking, wholesale broking, programs, and claims services. Venbrook and its brands provide a broad range of comprehensive commercial insurance (property & casualty), corporate employee benefits, specialty health programs, personal risk insurance, and risk management solutions to public entities, businesses, and high‑net worth individuals. Job Summary This role drives execution of the highest‑priority initiatives across the Employee Benefits, Student Insurance, and Travel divisions, providing operational leadership across systems, workflows, and cross‑functional programs. The individual will oversee day‑to‑day operational execution, develop documentation and process infrastructure, assist leadership in identifying gaps, and reinforce alignment between service teams and executive strategy. Key Responsibilities Strategic Execution & Initiative Ownership : Translate divisional priorities into structured project plans with defined timelines, accountable owners, and measurable deliverables; lead cross‑functional initiatives from inception through adoption; maintain oversight of open items and communicate dependencies and operational impacts. Operations & Process Improvement : Design, document, and continuously improve workflows, processes, and operational structures; identify inefficiencies, implement improvements, and resolve workflow disruptions and service gaps. Systems & Tools Ownership : Serve as primary operational lead for agency management systems; support migration to new systems such as Applied EPIC; evaluate, plan, and implement agency management and benefits administration systems. Milliman Relationship & Data Integration : Own the relationship with Milliman, manage reporting dashboards, coordinate data integration with IT, and ensure data accuracy and leadership visibility. Compliance Oversight : Own compliance for all divisions, including regulatory tracking and documentation standards; ensure regulatory readiness and partnership with the President of Employee Benefits. Implementation & Renewal Coordination : Participate in sales presentations, support operational capabilities, and provide support during client implementations for large Employee Benefits and new Student Insurance clients. Team Onboarding, Offboarding & Training : Own onboarding and offboarding for all EB team members; manage training from orientation through role readiness in partnership with Global Operations. Book of Business Oversight : Review and ensure accurate BOB reporting into AMS; maintain reliable and current view of the division’s book of business. Required Skills & Abilities AMS proficiency required (current platform); Applied EPIC experience is a strong plus. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiency required. Salesforce CRM knowledge preferred. Strong track record driving cross‑functional initiatives and systems implementations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education & Experience BA/BS preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance brokerage with an Employee Benefits emphasis strongly preferred. Life & Health License required. SHRM or CEBS designation preferred.
