Description Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and complex clinical laboratory testssuch as chemistry, hematology, and immunologyfollowing established procedures.
• Review results for quality assurance, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and perform necessary maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Support specimen collection and prep samples for analysis as required.
• Thoroughly document all steps taken, assist in training newer staff or interns while ensuring the lab meets quality benchmarks.
• Maintain a tidy, safe work environment and comply with all regulatory and accreditation expectations.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with an ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Ongoing maintenance of certification throughout your tenure.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with healthcare teams.
• Able to exercise independent judgment and resolve issues in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, particularly in terms of quality control and documentation accuracy.
