Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, actively listening to clients to assess their needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment and recovery plans that address the unique concerns of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, employing various evidence-based therapy modalities to enhance client recovery.

• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, ensuring adherence to established plans and making necessary adjustments along the way.

• Communicate and collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to coordinate comprehensive care strategies for clients, especially those who may require hospitalization.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery, intervening proactively to support clients in overcoming challenges.

• Provide guidance and resources to family members and primary caregivers, helping them to manage mental health-related issues effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A proven score on the NCE and/or the NCMHCE, demonstrating your competency in mental health counseling.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills that are essential for effective documentation and client interaction.

• Exceptional interpersonal abilities that enable you to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly with a focus on telehealth.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and an understanding of the effects of medications prescribed for mental health conditions.

• Interest and experience in working with clients facing complex behavioral health challenges, including addiction and co-occurring disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
