Location: Springfield Regional Medical Center, Springfield, OH

Start Date: 09/08/2026

End Date: 09/18/2026 (possible extension/coverage adjustments)

Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00 AM 5:00 PM; includes on-call responsibilities (floor/on-site support, OR call)

Hours/Week: Approximately 40 hours + call

Employment Type: Locum/Temporary

License/Certifications: Valid Physician Assistant (PA) license in Ohio; ACLS/BLS preferred

Experience: Prior cardiothoracic surgery experience highly recommended

What You'll Do

• Provide post-operative care for all types of cardiothoracic and vascular patients
• Perform emergency surgeries on cardiothoracic and vascular cases
• Manage consults/referrals from ED, Cath Lab, and hospital providers
• Assist in surgical procedures, including vein harvesting & vascular tissue retrieval
• Take part in rounding, interpret tests, and order necessary diagnostics
• Write prescriptions and coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Support on-call duties, including weekend coverage and emergency response

What You Need

• Valid Physician Assistant (PA) license in Ohio
• Proven experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery (preferred)
• Ability to perform vein harvesting and assist in emergency surgical procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and handle emergent situations effectively
