• Location: Springfield Regional Medical Center, Springfield, OH
• Start Date: 09/08/2026
• End Date: 09/18/2026 (with possibility of extension or coverage adjustments)
• Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; On-call: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM (floor call/beeper), plus weekend 24-hour onsite and OR call
• Hours per Week: Approximately 40–50 hours
• Employment Type: Locum
• Licenses/Certs: Ohio State Medical License (or pending), ACLS, BLS recommended
• Experience: Prior cardiothoracic and vascular surgery experience preferred

What You’ll Do

• Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients
• Assist in emergency surgeries and procedures
• Take consults and referrals from ED, cath lab, and hospital providers
• Conduct vein harvesting during surgeries
• Assist in the retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass procedures
• Write prescriptions and coordinate patient care
• Perform rounding and interpret diagnostic tests
• Order and review tests as needed
• Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

What You Need

• Valid Ohio Medical License or eligible for temporary privileges
• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery required
• Ability to perform vein harvesting and assist in complex surgeries
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
