Small Business & Growth Business - Account Executive - Chicago

Job Summary The Sales Organization, part of Salesforce’s broader Sales organization, is looking for a Territory Account Executive or Account Specialist to grow and manage a portfolio of small and growth business accounts. In this role, you will build trusted relationships with business leaders, uncover their priorities, and connect them to the right Salesforce solutions to drive meaningful impact for customers and your career. Responsibilities Sell the Salesforce platform or a specific cloud solution across a portfolio of existing customers and new logo accounts. Develop a deep understanding of how businesses operate and what drives decisions at the C‑level, building credibility as a trusted advisor. Generate and manage pipeline by uncovering business challenges, mapping solutions across multiple lines of business, and selling on value and ROI. Partner with an extended internal team to build business cases, develop strategic account plans, and deliver compelling presentations to customers. Qualifications 2–5 years of full‑cycle sales experience, with at least 1 year in a field sales role and a proven track record of quota attainment. Experience managing existing accounts and/or acquiring new logo accounts. Experience selling to or engaging with C‑suite stakeholders. Ability to build a business case and articulate return on investment to customers. Preferred Qualifications Experience crafting a point of view and positioning yourself as a trusted advisor with customers. Ability to strategize with large, extended internal teams to drive deals forward. Experience building and delivering customer‑facing presentations. Experience evaluated based on core competencies including extracurricular leadership, military experience, volunteer work, and professional experience. Benefits & Compensation Base salary range: $69,000 – $96,000 annually (location dependent). Incentive compensation, equity, and benefits as applicable.
