About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a clear succession plan to the CFO role. The successful candidate will be responsible for modernizing the finance function and strengthening core accounting and reporting disciplines. This includes leading the redesign of financial processes and systems to create a more scalable and controlled environment, maintaining a hands-on approach to the close and reporting process, and owning GAAP financial reporting. The role also involves improving the alignment between GAAP and statutory reporting, particularly in reducing reliance on manual adjustments, and supporting broader financial oversight with a path toward full CFO responsibility. The ideal candidate for this Deputy CFO position at the company will have a background in improving or rebuilding finance processes in less structured environments, a strong foundation in GAAP reporting, and experience with statutory accounting, preferably in the insurance sector. They should be adept at working with financial systems and ERP platforms, and have a proven track record of partnering with IT. The role requires a professional who is comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity while also driving broader process improvements, and who can effectively introduce and manage change within a complex, evolving organization.
