Key Responsibilities

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients, which encompass reviewing medical history, performing specific assessments, and formulating comprehensive treatment plans that reflect each patient's unique needs.
• Clearly communicating evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in goal-setting and care decisions.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals when necessary, documenting any changes in the patient's condition, and adjusting the plan of care accordingly.
• Managing discharge planning and follow-up care, providing detailed documentation of patient interactions, including legible encounter notes and interim progress summaries.
• Maintaining an accurate schedule, demonstrating effective time management, and meeting productivity expectations while being punctual for meetings.
• Participating actively in departmental initiatives, marketing activities, and the attainment of departmental goals and objectives, while adhering to relevant regulations.
• Taking charge of your professional growth and competency by pursuing continuing education, mentoring students, and serving as a clinical instructor when required.
• Enhancing patient access to care by engaging in outreach efforts and collaborating with administrative staff to identify and reduce barriers within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily engage with patients requiring rehabilitation services for various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience
