Job Title: Welder
Job Description

The Welder is responsible for performing welding processes essential to the fabrication and assembly of metal carts, cabinets, and stainless tables and carts. This role demands physical endurance and the ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, assemble, and carry for extended periods of up to 10 hours per day. The Welder must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance from another team member.

Responsibilities

• Determine the appropriate welding process, equipment or method based on product requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to job specifications.
• Follow all safe manufacturing, material handling, and PPE procedures.
• Follow written and verbal directions to complete assignments or jobs.
• Perform all duties in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct quality checks on all finished processes and work.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• 1-3 years of on-the-job MIG welding experience or a welding certificate.
• Ability to combine schooling and on-the-job experience.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Proficiency with tape measure and blueprint reading.

• Experience in fabrication and production settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Work Environment

The work schedule for the first shift is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional Saturday work depending on production needs. The environment can become warm during summer months and is typical of manufacturing settings—not excessively dirty or clean.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Machesney Park, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Machesney Park,IL.
