Part-Time Staff Accountant

Location: Onsite with 1 work-from-home day per week during active work weeks
Schedule: Part-time — approximately 2 weeks per month
Start Date: Within 1–2 weeks

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Staff Accountant to provide general ledger and month-end accounting support. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who wants a flexible schedule while continuing to utilize their accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide month-end close support during approximately two weeks each month, typically during the last/first or first/second week of the month.

• Prepare and post basic general ledger journal entries and maintain related account reconciliations.

• Perform bank and account reconciliations , research discrepancies, and ensure accounts are properly supported.

• Manage prepaid expense schedules and record monthly amortization entries.

• Maintain fixed asset activity , including additions and related accounting entries.

• Prepare and post recurring accruals and standard monthly entries , including fixed monthly expenses.

• Assist with general accounting activities and other month-end projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Solid general ledger accounting experience with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations .

• Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines during month-end close.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to quickly step into an established accounting process.

• Ideal for an experienced accounting professional seeking part-time flexibility , including parents returning to the workforce, consultants, or professionals with other scheduling commitments.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Part-time: Approximately 2 weeks per month.

• Flexible hours during active work weeks.

• Fully onsite with 1 work-from-home day per week during active weeks.

• Target start: Within 1–2 weeks.
