Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Kaiser Physical Therapy, you will:

• Direct and oversee physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and enhancing physical function based on individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with physical therapy assistants, ensuring the appropriate implementation and adherence to treatment plans established for each patient.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities through diagnostic testing and assessments, developing effective rehabilitation strategies accordingly.
• Perform in-home assessments to recommend necessary adjustments in the living environment that enhance patients' independence and quality of life.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, including manual techniques, traction, and massage, guiding patients through non-manual exercises and activities vital for recovery.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust necessary orthopedic devices, collaborating with physicians to recommend personalized modifications that suit the patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records encompassing evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary case conferences, contributing valuable insights while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to refine comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on safe practices and the effective use of therapeutic equipment to maximize the benefits of physical therapy interventions.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as required, ensuring compliance with state regulations and offering mentorship and guidance in care delivery.
