Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Nurse Practitioner will involve a diverse range of responsibilities that directly contribute to patient care:

• Conduct thorough patient histories and detailed physical examinations to assess health needs.
• Develop, document, and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring all follow-up procedures are completed.
• Perform daily rounds to monitor patient status and address any immediate health concerns.
• Initiate and prescribe medications, laboratory tests, and diagnostic imaging as necessary.
• Interpret results from laboratory tests and manage findings in collaboration with senior medical staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and optimize patient outcomes.
• Document discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals, providing clear post-care instructions to patients and their families.
• Remain current with best practices and legal requirements, maintaining all necessary certifications and licenses.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on women's health issues, catering to a diverse client base that includes elderly women in assisted living and specialized health needs. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• National Board Certification in a relevant specialty area.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Professional Nurse in Texas.
• A collaborative practice agreement with established protocols as required by Texas state regulations.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required, candidates with experience in women's health or geriatrics will be given preference.
