Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough women's health assessments including physical exams and screenings, accurately documenting each patient's medical history.
• Diagnose and manage common women's health concerns, from reproductive health issues to menopausal symptoms and gynecological infections.
• Provide family planning services, offering comprehensive contraceptive counseling and education around reproductive health.
• Perform essential gynecological exams such as Pap smears and breast exams, ensuring adherence to best practices in women’s preventive care.
• Manage prenatal care, actively engaging with expecting mothers to monitor fetal development and providing necessary education on pregnancy and childbirth.
• Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, guaranteeing optimal support for pregnant patients.
• Order diagnostic tests including ultrasounds and laboratory work, interpreting results to inform treatment planning.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate and conduct follow-ups to monitor efficacy and manage any adverse effects experienced by patients.
• Engage patients in conversations about sexual and reproductive health to promote awareness and education on topics like STD prevention and fertility awareness.
• Participate in clinic-wide quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care delivery and health outcomes.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate and efficient patient documentation.
• Stay abreast of advancements in women's health to continuously improve skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• At least one year of clinical experience in a women’s health-focused setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of gynecological, reproductive health, prenatal, and menopausal care.

Compensation and Benefits
