This position is located in our modern outpatient office in Friendswood, which is designed to cater specifically to women's health needs. As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, you will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, in a collaborative and harmonious atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough women's health assessments, including gathering medical histories, performing physical exams, and conducting routine screenings.
• Diagnose and manage common women's health issues such as reproductive disorders, gynecological infections, and menopausal symptoms.
• Deliver family planning services, which involve contraceptive counseling and education, prescribing appropriate methods, and fitting devices as necessary.
• Administer routine gynecological examinations, including Pap smears and breast screenings, while ensuring follow-up care.
• Provide comprehensive prenatal care, monitoring fetal development, conducting prenatal visits, and offering education on pregnancy and childbirth.
• Collaborate effectively with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for pregnant patients.
• Offer counseling on sexual and reproductive health, including STD prevention, fertility awareness, and preconception advice.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests like ultrasounds and lab tests, developing tailored treatment plans based on findings.
• Manage medication prescriptions, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment plans as necessary for optimal effectiveness.
• Educate patients on women's health promotion, self-care practices, and preventive measures to enhance their overall well-being.
• Accurately document all patient interactions and care plans in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with standards of care.
• Engage in quality improvement practices and professional development activities to enhance patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nursing with specialization as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Strong clinical competencies in women’s health, particularly within primary care or obstetrics/gynecology settings.
• Deep understanding of issues related to gynecology, reproductive health, prenatal care, and menopause.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a women's healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and experience in utilizing EHR for patient documentation.
• Proficiency in conducting gynecological procedures and patient education on a wide range of women's health topics.

Compensation and Benefits

At Mind Body Psychiatry, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $220,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
