Job Title: Bankruptcy Paralegal

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Hybrid, Direct Hire opportunity is based in Cedar Knolls, NJ and offers the chance to work alongside legal professionals handling complex bankruptcy matters across multiple jurisdictions. The position plays an important role in maintaining accurate case activity, supporting critical filing requirements, and ensuring adherence to established legal and operational standards. Candidates who thrive in a detail oriented environment and can effectively balance competing priorities will be well positioned for success.

Compensation:
$30.00 - $37.00/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST during the first 90 days of training; thereafter, normal business hours based on the employee's local time zone.

Key Responsibilities of the Bankruptcy Paralegal:

• Support attorneys with the administration and progression of bankruptcy cases, ensuring documentation is organized, accurate, and completed within required timeframes.
• Coordinate court related filings and case updates across multiple jurisdictions while maintaining compliance with applicable legal procedures and deadlines.
• Manage matters involving creditor representation, including preparation and review of bankruptcy related pleadings, notices, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor case activity, audit records for accuracy, and identify potential issues that could impact case outcomes or service expectations.
• Maintain performance standards by prioritizing workloads, tracking critical deadlines, and facilitating efficient communication among stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills for the Bankruptcy Paralegal:

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of recent experience supporting bankruptcy matters, including exposure to contested filings, claims processing, case notices, or auditing activities.
• Demonstrated experience working with Chapter 11 proceedings and creditor focused bankruptcy practices within a legal services environment.
• Strong understanding of federal court filing processes and the ability to navigate electronic court systems efficiently.
• Experience managing nationwide bankruptcy caseloads with the ability to balance multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency using legal case management, document management, or workflow tracking systems, along with familiarity with operational performance expectations and compliance requirements.
