Director, Head of Quant Rates Americas

Purpose of the role Provide quantitative and analytical expertise to support trading strategies, risk management, and decision‑making within the investment banking domain, applying quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, and technology to optimise trading and investment opportunities. Accountabilities Develop and implement quantitative models and strategies to derive insight into market trends and optimise trading decisions, pricing and risk management across various financial products and markets. Work closely with sales and structuring teams to identify clients' needs and develop customised solutions. Conduct in‑depth research, data analysis and statistical modelling to provide insights into market trends, pricing and risk dynamics. Provide front‑office infrastructure support through ownership and maintenance of analytical libraries. Advise on quantitative methodologies, technological advancements and industry best practices to drive innovation within the trading environment. Lead organisation‑wide projects as a technical expert and thought leader, training and coaching less experienced specialists. Serve as principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions, influencing senior stakeholders and supporting strategic decisions. Qualifications At least 6 years’ experience with rate options, exotics and structured products at a globally respected institution, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. Recognised expertise with quantitative analytics for G10 rates options, exotics and structured products. Proven achievements with pricing and risk model development, calibration, implementation and integration. Master’s or PhD from a leading institution. STEM background strongly preferred. Strong analytical, algorithmic and computational skills; proficiency with C++ and Python. Business orientation and a collaborative approach to quantitative work. Thought leadership, creative problem solving and rigorous modelling approach. Salary / Compensation Salary / Rate Minimum: $220,000; Salary / Rate Maximum: $300,000.
