Vice President - Treasury COO office

Title Vice President – Treasury COO office (Japanese bilingual preferred) About the Team The Treasury COO office supports the various Treasury teams with strategic initiatives. The office is responsible for managing and promoting the progress of critical projects within Treasury, coordinating with each Treasury team and stakeholders outside Treasury. It also supports the Americas Regional Treasurer in strategic decisions and communications, leads regulatory compliance for Treasury, defines the Target Operating Model, develops strategic budget and resource plans, acts as a liaison with the Head Office, and handles documentation. Responsibilities Manage and promote progress of and critical projects within Treasury, coordinating with each Treasury team, Technology, Program Management, Risk, Business Lines, and Finance. Ensure stakeholders understand the goals and timeline of the projects, raising risks, issues, and dependencies. Monitor new regulations and government policy trends affecting Treasury, including liquidity, capital, IRRBB, regulatory supervision framework, and funding market developments. Lead impact analysis of new regulations and policy trends to Treasury, ensuring timely and effective adaptation to regulatory changes. Lead preparation of responses to audit and compliance consistent with Treasury, ensuring effective communication with audit and compliance teams. Create persuasive PowerPoint presentations to support effective communication of Treasury initiatives to stakeholders, including other businesses and management. Perform a leading role in Business Requirements Documentation and act as liaison between the Head Office and MUSO. Qualifications 3‑5 years of business experience in Treasury, Treasury control functions, or regulatory compliance or legal matters for financial institutions. Subject matter expertise in Treasury, including experience leading Treasury business. Understanding of liquidity and capital regulation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, concise messages for various audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be a team player. Experience developing and maintaining relationships across various departments. Organized, self‑starter. High proficiency with advanced Microsoft PowerPoint. Business‑level proficiency in Japanese is a plus. Compensation & Benefits The expected base salary ranges from $110,000 – $200,000, with additional discretionary bonuses. Eligible employees also receive a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, and 401(k) plans.
