Job Title

Level II Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Float

Location

New York, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, and Nights) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge as needed per unit

Key Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based patient care in accordance with established standards of practice
• Float across medical surgical units as assigned, adapting to varying patient populations and care needs
• Assume expanded role responsibilities including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member functions as needed
• Participate in clinical practice, service excellence, and professional development initiatives
• Support research and evidence-based practice efforts within the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required — NY license only
• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit nursing environment
• Experience in a charge nurse or preceptor role
