Program Manager III - Cell & Gene Therapy (GMP Lab)

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Program Manager III to oversee cell and gene therapy GMP laboratory programs remotely while supporting the Middleton, Wisconsin facility. The role involves managing client relationships, coordinating complex projects, ensuring timely delivery of objectives, and serving as primary liaison between clients, business development, and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships, lead communications, and coordinate client visits with business development and operations teams
• Oversee program coordination, monitor status against timelines and budgets, and ensure deliverables meet client expectations
• Manage FTE projects including setup, monitoring, financial forecasting, and budget adherence with weekly utilization reviews
• Evaluate and escalate project risks, establish status trackers, and drive compliance to company standards across departments
• Mentor Program Manager I and II staff, manage contract renewals, and identify process improvement opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant academic/vocational qualification
• 7+ years of experience in project management or equivalent combination of education and training
• Demonstrated FTE project management experience with financial forecasting responsibilities
• Strong science and/or business acumen with knowledge of GMP regulations preferred
• Superior client relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills
• Proven analytical and organizational abilities with ability to work in fast-paced environments
