Physician Assistant, PD, Head and Neck Surgery - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

Atlantic Health is Seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant for Head and Neck Surgery Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, seeks a skilled Physician Assistant to join our Head and Neck surgery team at the Leonard B. Kahn Institute for Head & Neck Cancer located at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. The PA will work two days per week, with additional shifts available as department needs arise. Training or experience in head and neck surgery is highly desirable but not mandatory. Responsibilities Provide peri‑operative support for head and neck surgical procedures. Assist the surgical team as an operating room first assist, documenting surgical details and managing instruments. Support postoperative patient care, including rounds, monitoring, and patient education. Communicate effectively with patients, families and interdisciplinary colleagues to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care. Qualifications Clinical experience in head and neck surgery preferred; not required. Experience as an operating room first assist and familiarity with surgical inpatient care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to establish rapport with patients, families and team members. Commitment to teamwork and open communication. Benefits No weekends and no call.
