Location: Palm Beach, FL
Position Type: Full-Time | Day Shift
Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year, based on experience

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) looking to take the next step in your nursing leadership career?

Our skilled nursing facility is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our nursing leadership team and help ensure the highest standards of resident care. The ideal candidate will have strong long-term care experience, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for developing nursing staff while maintaining a safe, compliant, and resident-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support nursing personnel to ensure exceptional resident care.

• Promote a safe, healthy, and professional workplace that supports high-quality clinical outcomes.

• Partner with the Director of Nursing and facility leadership to achieve nursing department goals.

• Serve as a key liaison between nursing staff, facility management, physicians, residents, and families.

• Address nursing and unit-related concerns promptly and effectively.

• Participate in and oversee weekly wound rounds.

• Support facility survey readiness, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance initiatives.

• Assist with staff education, training, and professional development.

• Support infection prevention and control initiatives and ensure adherence to established protocols.

• Foster teamwork, accountability, and strong communication throughout the nursing department.

• Assist with maintaining appropriate clinical standards, policies, and procedures.

• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Florida RN license required.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

• Minimum of 3 years of long-term care/skilled nursing experience .

• Previous supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred, such as ADON, Unit Manager, or similar role .

• Experience with staff education and infection prevention/control .

• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, clinical standards, and quality-of-care practices.

• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong commitment to resident-centered care and team development.
