Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess each patient's physical needs and capabilities, using evidence-based assessment tools.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, tailoring rehabilitation exercises and therapeutic modalities to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation to enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on their treatment plans, techniques for pain management, and methods to promote active participation in their recovery process.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and case managers, to ensure seamless communication and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient progress meticulously through electronic health records (EHR) to maintain accurate medical records, which are essential for tracking outcomes and continuing care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a wide range of patients, from children recovering from sports injuries to elderly clients managing chronic conditions. Providing compassionate care, you will adapt your approach to cater to varying physical abilities and unique recovery goals. Your commitment to understanding each patient's individual challenges will be vital in fostering a supportive rehabilitation experience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
• A valid license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to provide high-quality patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in orthopedic therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient tracking.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, you will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package which includes:
